IntroductionIn late December, 2010, imagery of what is claimed to be China's new stealth fighter has emerged on a range of Chinese Internet sites. There have been no official Chinese disclosures as yet, so many of the claims about the aircraft appearing in the media may only be speculation presented as fact. The aircraft may be a technology demonstrator or a prototype for a mass production fighter aircraft. The latter is however much more likely, given that the Deputy Chief of Air Staff PLA-AF Gen. He Weirong claimed an IOC between 2017 and 2019, in a November, 2009, public disclosurei. The following is a preliminary assessment only and subject to revision. APA will produce a more complete assessment at a future date, once more technical material and the detailed analysis of same becomes available. |
Technical Observations on the Prototype Design

General ConclusionsThe size of the J-XX/J-20 airframe, and the self evident focus on supersonic persistence, suggests, at a minimum, an intention to provide a long range interceptor for anti-access operations in the Second Island Chain geography. It is likely any production design J-XX/J-20 will incorporate an aerial refuelling probe to further extend its large operating radius. A stealthy, supercruising, long range interceptor would provide the PLA-AF with the capability to penetrate an opposing IADS to destroy assets like E-3 AWACS, RC-135V/W Rivet Joint, other ISR systems, and importantly, Air Force and Navy tankers. This would significantly complicate if not close down air operations from Andersen AFB and fixed basing in the Ryukyu chain, Japanese main islands, and Korean peninsula, during the opening phase of any contingency. Naval task forces structured around CVBGs and operating within the 1,000 NMI plus radius of the J-XX/J-20 would be at significant risk of rapidly losing their E-2C/D AEW&C and EA-18G Growler Electronic Attack coverage during the opening phase of any contingency. Any notion that an F-35 Joint Strike Fighter or F/A-18E/F Super Hornet will be capable of competing against this Chengdu design in air combat, let alone penetrate airspace defended by this fighter, would be simply absurd. The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet are both aerodynamically and kinematically quite inferior to the as presented J-XX/J-20 design, and even the shape based VLO capability in the J-XX/J-20, as presented, will effectively neutralise any sensor advantage either type might possess against earlier Russian and Chinese fighter designs. |
Multi-Role Options and Production NumbersThe J-XX/J-20 design could be employed as a penetrating strike aircraft, in the combat radius class of the F-111 or Su-34 Fullback, if equipped with internal guided bombs, such as the Luoyang/CASC LT-3 Laser / Satellite Aided Inertially Guided Bomb, the FT-1, FT-2, FT-3, FT-4, FT-5 and LS-6 series Satellite Aided Inertially Guided Bombs. These are Chinese analogues to the US JDAM, some including glide wing kits modelled on the JDAM-ER. CASC displayed compact 250 lb and 125 lb variants of the LS-6 at Zhuhai in 2010, these derivative weapons being direct analogues to the US GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bomb, currently being integrated on the F-22A Raptorii. A mature J-XX/J-20, with a full strike capability, would be a direct one-for-one equivalent to the proposed dual role FB-22A, which was championed by Dr. James G. Roche during his tenure as SecAF, until 2005iii. The PLA-AF has not disclosed as yet intended production quantities. The stated IOC of the J-XX/J-20 directly aligns with the retirement date of the second tranche of Su-27SK Flanker B and first tranche of Su-30MKK Flanker G currently in operational service. It is a reasonable conclusion that the J-XX/J-20 is intended as an eventual replacement for PLA-AF Flanker B/G and later PLA-N shore based Su-30MK2 Flanker G long range multirole fighters. If the J-XX/J-20 is intended to directly replace PLA Flankers, numbers in the order of 400 – 500 aircraft are credible. Chinas J-20 Stealth Fighter In Taxi Tests

China’s first known stealth aircraft just emerged from a secret development program and was undergoing high-speed taxi tests late last week at Chengdu Aircraft Design Institute’s airfield. Said to be designated J-20, it is larger than most observers expected—pointing to long range and heavy weapon loads. Its timing, Chengdu’s development record and official statements cast doubt on U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates’s 2009 prediction (in support of his decision to stop production of the Lockheed Martin F-22) that China would not have an operational stealth aircraft before 2020. The debut of the J-20 was announced in a November 2009 interview on Chinese TV by Gen. He Weirong, deputy commander of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force. The general said a “fourth-generation” fighter (Chinese terminology for a stealth fighter) would be flown in 2010-11 and be operational in 2017-19. The J-20 is a single-seat, twin-engine aircraft, bigger and heavier than the Sukhoi T-50 and the F-22. Comparison with ground-service vehicles points to an overall length of 75 ft. and a wingspan of 45 ft. or more, which would suggest a takeoff weight in the 75,000-80,000-lb. class with no external load. That in turn implies a generous internal fuel capacity. The overall length is close to that of the 1960s General Dynamics F-111, which carries 34,000 lb. of fuel. The J-20 has a canard delta layout (like Chengdu’s J-10) with two canted, all-moving vertical stabilizers (like the T-50) and smaller canted ventral fins. The stealth body shaping is similar to that of the F-22. The flat body sides are aligned with the canted tails, the wing-body junction is clean, and there is a sharp chine line around the forward fuselage. The cant angles are greater than they are on the Lockheed Martin F-35, and the frameless canopy is similar to that of the F-22. The engines are most likely members of the Russian Saturn AL-31F family, also used on the J-10. The production version will require yet-to-mature indigenous engines. The inlets use diverterless supersonic inlet (DSI) technology, first adopted for the F-35 but also used by Chengdu on the J-10B—the newest version of the J-10—and the Sino-Pakistani JF-17 Thunder. The main landing gears retract into body-side bays, indicating the likely presence of F-22-style side weapon bays ahead of them. The ground clearance is higher than on the F-22, which would facilitate loading larger weapons including air-to-surface munitions. Chinese engineers at the Zhuhai air show in November disclosed that newly developed air-to-ground weapons are now required to be compatible with the J-20. Features at the rear of the aircraft—including underwing actuator fairings, axisymmetrical engine exhausts and the ventral fins—appear less compatible with stealth, so the J-20 may not match the all-aspect stealth of the F-22. There are two possible explanations for this: Either the aircraft seen here is the first step toward an operational design, or China’s requirements do not place as much stress on rear-aspect signatures. The major open question at this point is whether the J-20 is a true prototype, like the T-50, or a technology demonstrator, with a status similar to the YF-22 flown in 1990. That question will be answered by whether, and how many, further J-20s enter flight testing in the next 12-24 months. Developing an effective multi-mission stealthy aircraft presents challenges beyond the airframe, because it requires a sensor suite that uses automated data fusion, emission control and low-probability-of-intercept data links to build an operational picture for the pilot without giving away the aircraft’s own location. A rapid development program would be a challenge for China’s combat aircraft industry, which is currently busy: The J-10B, FC-17 and Shenyang’s J-11B and carrier-based J-15 are all under development. However, the progress of China’s military aviation technology has been rapid since the first flight of the J-10 in 1996, owing to the nation’s growing economy and the push by the People’s Liberation Army for a modernized military force in all domains. Before the J-10, China’s only indigenous production combat aircraft were the Shenyang J-8 and Xian JH-7, reflecting early-1960s technology from Russia and Europe. Engine development has lagged airframe development, with reports that the Shenyang WS-10 engine, slated to replace Russian engines in the J-11B, has been slow to reach acceptable reliability and durability levels. That may not be surprising, given that high-performance engine technology is founded on specialized alloys and processes that often have no other uses. (The existence of the J-11B, essentially a “bootleg” version of the Su-27, has been a strain on relationships between the Russian and Chinese industries.) Progress with avionics may be indicated by the advent of the J-10B, with new features that include a canted radar bulkhead (normally associated with an active, electronically scanned array antenna), an infrared search-and-track system, and housings for new electronic warfare antennas. One question that may go unanswered for a long time concerns the degree to which cyberespionage has aided the development of the J-20. U.S. defense industry cybersecurity experts have cited 2006—close to the date when the J-20 program would have started—as the point at which they became aware of what was later named the advanced persistent threat (APT), a campaign of cyberintrusion aimed primarily at military and defense industries and characterized by sophisticated infiltration and exfiltration techniques. Dale Meyerrose, information security vice president for the Harris Corp. and former chief information officer for the director of national intelligence, told an Aviation Week cybersecurity conference in April 2010 that the APT had been little discussed outside the classified realm, up to that point, because “the vast majority of APT attacks are believed to come from a single country.” Between 2009 and early 2010, Lockheed Martin found that “six to eight companies” among its subcontractors “had been totally compromised—e-mails, their networks, everything,” according to Chief Information Security Officer Anne Mullins. The way in which the J-20 was unveiled also reflects China’s use and control of information technology to support national interests. The test airfield is located in the city of Chengdu and is not secure, with many public viewing points. Photography is technically forbidden, but reports suggest that patrols have been permitting the use of cell phone cameras. From Dec. 25‑29, these images were placed on Chinese Internet discussion boards, and after an early intervention by censors—which served to draw attention to the activity—they appeared with steadily increasing quality. MAMPUKAH TUDM HADAPI ANCAMAN UDARA


KITA BUKAN NEGARA YANG TERKUAT, TENTERA UDARA KITA KECIL, TETAPI KITA MENGEMBLENG SETIAP SUMBER KITA DARI TENAGA INSANI SEHINGGALAH KELEBIHAN ALAM KITA
1. Ada yang bertanya kepada saya, sama ada Tentera Udara Di Raja Malaysia (TUDM) mempunyai kelebihan jika berlaku pertempuran udara dengan China atau Singapura.
4. Sebelum itu saya perlu ingatkan, Indonesia turut memiliki SU-30 dan SU-27 bagaimanapun ia merupakan pesawat standard dan tidak diupgrade sepenuh.
5. Pesawat Sukhoi Indonesia juga tidak mempunyai peluru berpandu Beyond Visual Range (BVR) dan tidak mempunyai kebolehan untuk membuat serangan pada waktu malam (Hanya Malaysia, Singapura dan Thailand sahaja yang mempunyai keupayaan membuat serangan waktu malam di Asia Tenggara).
6. Ok kita henti bicara mengenai Indonesia dan jika kita lihat pula kekuatan Singapura, Republic Singapore Air Force (RSAF) mempunyai jumlah pesawat yang mengerunkan, pesawat tempur mereka terdiri dari F-5E, F-16 Viper dan F-15SG.
7. Jumlah itu seolah-olah cukup untuk mengatasi apa yang TUDM gunakan sekarang walaupun kita mempunyai SU-30.
8. Disini letaknya kesilapan kita kerana selalu membuat analisis dengan menggunakan nombor, angka atau jumlah dan perkara ini sudah pernah disentuh oleh majalah TEMPUR di mana kebanyakkan kita mengenepikan soal doktrin dan strategi.
9. Akibatnya, kita membodohkan diri sendiri dan mengecilkan keupayaan anak tempatan serta kemampuan TUDM dalam mempertahankan negara ini, kita sering terlupa tentang keupayaan sesebuah pesawat dan strategi yang dipakai serta kelebihan yang dimiliki oleh negara.
9. Dahulu saya sendiri pun memandang rendah keupayaan TUDM tetapi tidak sehingga SU-30MKM memasuki inventorinya, kita lihat Singapura sudah mula berubah “air muka”.
10.Republik itu mengambil tindakan yang sangat drastik apabila Malaysia membuat pengumuman, KAMI MAHUKAN SUKHOI.
11.Serentak dengan itu Singapura mula membuat tempahan F-15 Strike Eagle versi SG dan semua orang tahu, ia adalah reaksi dari pembelian Malaysia ke atas SU-30MKM.
12.Disini kita tanya diri kita sendiri, mengapa F-15SG dan mengapa tidak ditambah sahaja jumlah pesawat F-16 yang ada.
13.Jika RSAF itu kebal, mengapa harus serius dengan pengumuman itu.
14.Nyatalah, Singapura sudah mula goyah kerana F-16 bukanlah lawan abadi SU-30 MKM, pesawat dengan nama timangan Viper itu dicipta untuk beradu dengan MIG 29 tetapi bukan Sukhoi.
15.Dalam satu latihan yang diberi nama SINDEX 2004 dengan India, pesawat tercanggih Singapura F-16 tewas dalam semua segi apabila bertempur dengan jentera Sukhoi dari versi MKI.
16….dan kita semua tahu, Sukhoi Malaysia direka dengan kemampuan yang sama atau lebih baik dari Sukhoi India, dan ia digelar MKM.
17.Kemenangan SU-30 MKI milik India disiarkan secara besar-besaran oleh akhbar India manakala keupayaan F-16 Singapura diperkecil dan diperlekehkan.
18.Kementerian Pertahanan Singapura yang “bengang” dengan insiden itu telah mengeluarkan satu kenyataan akhbar untuk siaran media Singapura bahawa pihak India mewar-warkan kemenangan itu di sebabkan mereka itu tuan rumah untuk eksesais tersebut.
19.Sikap media India yang memperbesarkan kemenangan Sukhoi mereka juga disebabkan pesawat seteru negara itu iaitu Pakistan turut menggunakan F-16, demikian kata seorang forumer Singapura yang memberikan reaksinya terhadap kenyataan dari “Singapore Ministry of Defence” itu.
20.Selepas SINDEX 2004, Singapura mula risau memikirkan masa depannya, apatah lagi, SU-30 versi MKM bakal memasuki inventori TUDM dalam tiga tahun lagi ketika itu, malahan satu lagi negara jiran yang mempunyai potensi untuk mengancam mereka iaitu Indonesia turut mengoperasikan SU-27 dan Su-30.
21.Pengajaran dari SIMDEX 2004 ini menyebabkan Singapura yang gah kekuatan udaranya buat pertama kali berasa kerdil berhadapan dengan TUDM dan terpaksa memilih F-15SG sebagai kuda melawan SU-30MKM.
22.Jika benar TUDM merupakan sebuah kuasa yang boleh diremehkan, tentera udara Singapura (RSAF) tidak akan mengambil langkah drastik seperti ini. Tidak cukup hebatkah jumlah pesawat F-16 mereka untuk berhadapan dengan susunan MIG 29, F-18 dan sekumpulan 18 buah Sukhoi.
23.Sedihnya jika sebuah kuasa besar seperti RSAF menghormati keupayaan milik negara, masih ada juga rakyat Malaysia yang memperolok-olok kekuatan TUDM dan terlalu yakin akan kemenangan negara lawan yang terkenal melalui serangan pre emptive strikenya.
KEUPAYAAN PESAWAT
24.Sesiapa pun tidak menolak bahawa jumlah pesawat yang banyak merupakan satu kelebihan tetapi umum jangan lupa, zaman ini bukan seperti era Perang Dunia Kedua di mana kita melihat kelebihan sesebuah negara dari sudut 1 versus 1 pesawat
25.Ada banyak kisah pada zaman ini terutama sejak dari Perang Korea, sebuah pesawat tunggal berupaya menumpaskan dua atau tiga pesawat lawannya.
26.Adakah anda tahu, pesawat SU-30 MKM milik TUDM merupakan versi yang paling canggih dan moden berbanding Sukhoi yang digunakan oleh negara pengeluarnya iaitu Russia sendiri
27.Komputer radar sebuah SU-30MKM boleh menanda sasaran 15 ke 20 pesawat musuh (Bogey) dan akan memilih empat yang paling merbahaya untuk dimusnahkan dengan misil Beyond Visual Range (BVR).
28.SU-30 MKM juga memiliki keupayaan radar dan kelebihan enjin “Thrust Vector” yang tidak dipersiapkan pada pesawat F-16 Singapura dan yang terkini, F-15G.
29.Enjin ini dengan dibantu oleh sirip kecil di kawasan “intake engine” banyak membantu Sukhoi melaksanakan gerakan yang sukar, memberikan kelebihan semasa pertempuran dogfight dan mengelirukan misil musuh.
30.Kalau kita lihat F-16 hanya menggunakan satu enjin sahaja berbanding dua pada SU-30MKM dan keupayaan enjinn ini memberikan impak yang besar.
31.Dua enjin beerti beban yang boleh dibawa adalah lebih besar dan senjata serta peluru berpandu yang lebih banyak.
32.Adakah anda masih ingat bagaimana seorang juruterbang F-15 Eagle milik Arab Saudi berjaya menembak jatuh dua buah jet MIG milik Iraq ketika operasi untuk membebaskan Kuwait, 1990 dahulu (satu lawan dua).
33.Saya difahamkan SU-30 MKM berkeupayaan membawa sekurang-kurangnya 4 misil BVR dan pesawat itu mempunyai 12 hardpoint atau pylon untuk dipasang dengan 12 misil yang boleh dikonfigurasikan untuk misi pertempuran udara atau maritim.
34.Dalam bahasa yang amat mudah, sekurang-kurangnya 10 buah pesawat musuh boleh ditembak jatuh oleh satu SU-30MKM (Correct me if Im wrong).
PERTEMPURAN UDARA DAN KUALITI PESAWAT SERTA JURUTERBANG
36.Dalam perang itu, Syria kehilangan 80 pesawat terbang dan sifar pada pihak Israel
37.Malah acapkali Israel yang kurang jumlah pesawatnya berbanding gabungan udara Mesir, Jordan dan Syria berjaya menang dalam pertempuran udara kerana kualiti yang dimiliki oleh pesawat dan juruterbang mereka, ia juga disokong dengan kecekapan dan kecepatan ground crew mempersiapkan pesawat.
39.Anda juga harus ingat, juruterbang TUDM dilatih dengan doktrin perang Amerika Syarikat dan kita tidak sama sekali serupa dengan juruterbang Arab yang menggunakan manual pertempuran udara Soviet Union yang mengakibatkan mereka tersungkur di tangan juruterbang Israel atau AS.
40.Bukan saya hendak megah dengan AS tetapi kita lihat semasa Perang Iran-Iraq, juruterbang Iran yang dilatih AS ternyata unggul dan mampu melakukan operasi yang paling hebat dalam sejarah (serangan ke atas kompleks H3 pada Mac 1981) sedangkan tentera udara republik itu sudah nazak akibat revoulusi Iran dan bantaian tentera Saddam Hussein yang menyerang secara tiba-tiba.
41.Dahulu saya sendiri tidak yakin dengan keupayaan juruterbang TUDM tetapi dengan adanya kelengkapan Human Centrifudge Chamber yang terletak di Subang dan latihan menggunakan sistem ACMI di Korat, pandangan saya terhadap keupayaan juruterbang TUDM sudah berubah ke tahap yang tinggi.
42.Kedua-dua sistem ini membolehkan juruterbang TUDM mengatasi masalah-masalah yang terjadi semasa pertempuran di udara dan membantu mental serta fizikal mereka bersemi dalam keupayaan pesawat canggih yang diterbangkan mereka
43.Sebagai contoh, badan manusia boleh tahan tekanan G sehingga ke tahap 4. Apabila disarung dengan jaket anti G yang dipakai oleh juruterbang, ia mampu menahan tekanan G di antara 6 hingga ke tahap 9 yang berlaku disebabkan pergerakan melampau jet pejuang.
44.Kemampuan seseorang juruterbang untuk menahan tekanan G dalam pergerakan dogfight ini sangat bergantung kepada latihan yang diterima dalam Human Centrifuge Chamber yang terletak di pengkalan TUDM Subang.
46.Saya tidak kata RSAF akan tewas dalam pertempuran udara dengan TUDM, mereka mempunyai juruterbang yang terhebat, itu sahaja yang saya boleh saya katakan, The Best in South East Asia jika kita hendak bandingkan jam penerbangan yang diterima oleh juruterbang RSAF dengan TUDM dan TNI-AU.
PRE EMPTIVE STRIKE
47.Andai kata berlaku peperangan di antara Malaysia dengan Singapura, kita akan melihat Singapura menguasai medan tempur termasuk darat dan udara dalam tempoh 24 jam sebelum ATM mengumpul kekuatan dan meledakkan pengkalan tentera udara RSAF serta jalan-jalan raya yang boleh menjadi tempat pesawat mereka mendarat melalui operasi Offensive Counter Air (OCA).
48.Ingat, setiap pesawat harus kembali ke pengkalan, minyaknya harus diisi semula, senjatanya harus dipasang kembali dan juruterbang perlu berehat tetapi jika kesemua kemampuan ini diledakkan oleh sistem roket Astros milik ATM, bagaimana?
49.Soal moral juruterbang juga perlu diambil kira, jika juruterbang RSAF ditembak jatuh, mereka akan mendarat di bumi musuh dan kerana itu Singapura memberi tekanan kepada keupayaan Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) dan keupayaan ini pernah terbukti apabila hanya tidak sampai beberapa minit, juruterbang pesawat pengintip RF-5E mereka diselamatkan semasa pesawat itu jatuh di Johor sekitar tahun 80an dahulu (Bukan setakat juruterbang, filem dari kamera pesawat itu turut berjaya dibawa lari).

Area 51 Gets Cool Reviews on Google Maps
And now, with the ever-popular Google Maps site, online users have been taking jabs at Area 51.
Google Maps allows Web surfers to easily find and make maps by offering street maps, route planners and satellite images.
"There was this guy in a black suit there. Said something about swamp gas and light from Venus. The rest is kind of hazy," one Google reviewer recently wrote.
Area 51, also commonly referred to as Groom Lake and Dreamland, is an actual military base, located on the shore of a salt flat called Groom Lake, about 80 miles north of Las Vegas.
Probably the main reason why many conspiracy theorists and UFO devotees have claimed that captured extraterrestrial spacecraft are housed at Area 51 is that there's been high-level secret testing of experimental aircraft there. The extraordinary stealth fighter was tested at the Groom Lake facility, most likely giving rise to eyewitness reports of UFOs in the area.
That, coupled with understandable government secrecy about its Area 51 activities and the numerous signs posted outside the base, severely warning off any intruders or trespassers, has added to the speculation about ET projects going on there.
But it doesn't take much to create a new UFO allegation, especially on the Internet. And, presumably, to have a little fun at the expense of hard-core UFO believers, Google Maps readers have written their own "reviews" of Area 51, with a heavy hand toward aliens, military threats and men in black.
Like this one: "Poor customer service. I came here for a summer holiday with the kids planning to tour the area ... but upon arrival to the area, we were 'greeted' by about 20 armed men. ... They were not very polite and threatened to kill us! We demanded that we be shown to our room but were disgusted to find it had already been taken. ... This ruined our holiday."
Or this: "Spaceship towed. Never park your spaceship nearby. I had a permit (and was legally parked), and they still towed! Now I have no way to get back to my native planet Xenu."
I guess that person didn't get a good Priceline deal on Xenu.

Al-Aqsa Facing "Real, Immediate” Danger



OCCUPIED AL-QUDS – Palestinians are sounding the alarm that Israel's continuing excavation works beneath the Haram al-Sharif (Noble sanctuary) in Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) is posing a "real and immediate" danger to its Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest shrine.
"Israeli excavations and continuing digging right beneath the Haram al Sharif’s esplanade have already caused irreparable damage to the stability of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s foundations," Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the Islamic Movement, told IslamOnline.net.
Salah, who has been closely monitoring Israeli excavations in the Old City of Al-Quds for over 25 years, says Israel is paying no attention to protests by Arab and Muslim countries over the perils its digging poses to Islamic holy places.
In recent years, the Israeli government, in coordination with powerful settler groups, began digging an extensive tunnel network throughout the Old City.
Israel describes the tunnels as "tourist projects" that pose no threat to Islamic holy places.
However, Palestinians and some Israeli organizations, including the Israeli Committee Against House Demolition, believe that the ultimate goal is to create a subterranean access route to attack Al-Aqsa and other Islamic shrines in the area.
Last year, an Israeli lawyer representing the anti-settlement group, Ir Amin, revealed that government-funded settlers were trying to establish "irreversible facts" as part of a takeover scheme.
"I have no doubt that the Aqsa foundations have been greatly weakened due to these tunnels and other excavations," maintains Sheikh Salah.
"You don’t have to be a great architect to realize this. We have already seen holes and cracks all over the area."
A section of the Aqsa Mosque’s yard caved in last year as a result of Israeli excavations underneath.
The collapse happened near the Qaitbay fountain in the western section of the mosque.
The one-meter deep hole was viewed as an ominous harbinger for things to come.
A school in Silwan neighborhood also partially collapsed due to Israeli excavations in the area.
Demolishing Al-Aqsa
Sheikh Salah says he is completely certain Israel wants to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque.
"They want to do it in a way that would appear as is happening as a result of natural causes, such an earthquake."
Salah says that Israel has a "diabolical plan" and is acting on it while Muslims are still just watching and contenting themselves with verbal protestations.
"Verbal reactions won’t stop Israeli designs against Islamic holy places, especially the Aqsa Mosque," he stressed.
"We need a proactive stance by Muslim peoples and governments. Muslims must send an unmistakable message to Israel and its supporters that Islamic holy shrines in Al-Quds are red lines."
Al-Aqsa is the Muslims’ first Qiblah [direction Muslims take during prayers] and it is the third holiest shrine after Al Ka`bah in Makkah and Prophet Muhammad's Mosque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
Its significance has been reinforced by the incident of Al Isra'a and Al Mi'raj — the night journey from Makkah to Al-Quds and the ascent to the Heavens by Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).
Israeli religious leaders, including Knesset members, are making no secret of their schemes regarding Al-Aqsa.
The Temple Mount Faithful, an extremist fanatical group, is dedicated to the demolition of Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.
The Temple Mount Institute, another extremist Jewish society, had prepared detailed plans for the rebuilding of the alleged Solomon Temple on the rubble of Al-Aqsa.
It has a large prototype of the temple, special clothes for its rabbis, special places for sacrificial offerings, incense chalice, copper vessels for meal offerings, silver vessel for wine libation and other offering implements.
No Exaggeration
In recent years, the Israeli occupation authorities have allowed Jewish extremists to pray inside the Haram al Sharif esplanade.
Muslim Waqf (religious endowment) officials have warned that allowing Jews to pray at the Haram is only part of the larger scheme to usurp the Islamic shrines.
"I think they want to secure a foothold, which they would later use to consolidate and expand Jewish presence," maintains Sheikh Muhammed Hussein, Head of the Supreme Muslim Council which oversees the Haram al Sharif.
"This is why Muslims all over the world, people and governments, must protest loudly this brazen and provocative aggression on the sanctity of Islamic sanctuaries."
Sheikh Raed Salah, who has dedicated himself to exposing Israeli schemes in Al-Quds, says Muslims around the world should realize that his repeated warnings are not at all exaggerated.
"When will Muslims come to realize that the dangers are real? When the Mosque is destroyed and the news of its destruction appears on Al-Jazeera?"
He had one clear message to Muslims and those who care about Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa.
"Only a genuine and fast awakening by Arabs and Muslims can help, and this is exactly what we are trying to effect."
