Start With 3 Employees, Today Aerodyne Buys 60% Stake In Danish AtSite

BUSINESS: Aerodyne Group started with just three employees about three years ago, but today international managed solution provider has offices in Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, United Kingdom (UK) and Denmark.

In the new development, Aerodyne Group, Malaysia’s leading drone specialist has bought a 60 percent controlling stake in AtSite to a total consideration of 2.2 million euros (RM10.6 million) which will give Aerodyne a leg up in the growing wind energy market.

Based in Denmark, AtSite is a forerunner in wind turbine blade inspections for the wind turbine generation industry throughout Europe. Over the last year, AtSite technicians have completed more than 1,000 blade inspections on both offshore and onshore wind turbines.

With this deal, Aerodyne can expect an additional 20 million euros (RM96.4 million) in revenue over the next three years.

“The synergy that AtSite and Aerodyne can reap from this collaboration will give us the competitive edge and long-term sustainability,” said Mads Obling Rasmussen, AtSite’s CEO.

“There are many interesting developments in the pipeline and we look forward to sharing them.”

Kamarul said the main focus of Aerodyne is now is an infrastructure asset.

"For us, infrastructure assets are the largest market in terms of applying drones. Best of all, it can be used quite easily in some markets and not just limited to Malaysia, "he said.

He said, besides infrastructure assets, another market could be utilizing the use of dron technology is agriculture.

He said Aerodyne was looking at several business partners at least, at least five countries.

Aerodyne operates in 10 countries around the world – Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Australia, U.K., U.S., UAE, Saudi Arabia and Denmark.

Gempar, Haiwan Aneh Terdampar di Kuala Matu Sarawak

MENGGEMPARKAN. Kemunculan haiwan aneh dan jarang-jarang dilihat apabila terdampar di pantai sudah pasti mencetuskan tanda tanya dan pelbagai persoalan.

Lebih menambah misteri dan pertanyaan adalah haiwan yang terdapar itu mati tanpa diketahui punca dan datang dari mana lokasinya.

Dalam kejadian pada 13 Mac 2018, penduduk di Kuala Matu di sini gempar dengan penemuan bangkai haiwan aneh yang terdampar di tepi pantai berhampiran Tanjung Jol Sarawak.

KOSMO! melaporkan bangkai dipercayai seekor ikan paus itu ditemui penduduk kampung kira-kira jam 8 pagi.

Penemuan bangkai aneh tersebut itu kemudian dilaporkan kepada Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) untuk tindakan lanjut.

Sementara itu, jurucakap SFC ketika dihubungi KOSMO! mengesahkan pihaknya ada menerima laporan berhubung penemuan bangkai haiwan berkenaan.

"Ya. Kami ada menerima laporan berhubung penemuan bangkai haiwan aneh itu daripada penduduk tempatan.

"Buat masa ini, pegawai kami sedang dalam perjalanan ke lokasi penemuan untuk melakukan siasatan lanjut," katanya ketika dihubungi.

Jurucakap sama menambah, buat masa ini, pihaknya tidak menolak kemungkinan bangkai haiwan aneh itu adalah seekor ikan paus yang dibawa arus deras ke tepi pantai tersebut.
