ONLINE SHOPPING: Starting on 15 January until 25 February 2018, Shopee will launch a new "Wang with Shopee" Campaign for the upcoming festive Chinese New Year celebration for Malaysians. 

Shopee, Southeast Asia and Taiwan’s leading e-commerce platform is organising its ‘Wang with Shopee’ bonanza campaign until February 25.

Ex-CIA Arrested On Espionage Act Charge

WASHINGTON — Justice Department said on Tuesday a former C.I.A. officer suspected of helping China identify the agency’s informants in that country has been arrested.

NEW YORK TIMES reported many of the informants were killed in a systematic dismantling of the C.I.A.’s spy network in China starting in 2010 that was one of the American government’s worst intelligence failures in recent years, several former intelligence officials have said.

The arrest of the former agent, Jerry Chun Shing Lee, 53, capped an intense F.B.I. investigation that began around 2012 after the C.I.A. began losing its informants in China. 

Mr. Lee was at the center of a mole hunt in which some intelligence officials believed that he had betrayed the United States but others thought that the Chinese government had hacked the C.I.A.’s covert communications used to talk to foreign sources of information.

Terlampau sejuk -62 Darjah Celsius, Termometer Gagal Berfungsi

GLOBAL: Sejuk sehingga penyukat suhu gagal berfungsi . Begitulah yang berlaku di sebuah kawasan di Siberia apabila suhu terlampau sejuk dicatatkan. 

Termometer yang diletakkan di Oymyakon sebuah puat peranginan gagal berfungsi selepas mencatatkan rekod -62 darjah Celsius minggu ini.

Omyakon didiami kira-kira 50 penghuni terletak 750 meter paras laut dan mempunyai siang kira-kira tiga jam pada Disember dan sehingga 21 jam pada musim panas.

Sementara itu Siberian Times melaporkan suhu tempatan dicatatkan serendah sehingga -67 darjah celsius mencapai rekod paling sejuk -67.7 celsius pada Februari 1933.

Suhu itu adalah paling rendah dicatatkan di luar Antartika yang didiami manuasia.

Untuk rekod suhu paling sejuk pernah dicatatkan apabila satelit NASA merekodkan suhu -94.7celsius di timur Antartika pada 2013.
