Serbia Arrests Man Believed to Be Ratko Mladic

Serbia on Thursday arrested a man believed to be the fugitive war criminal Ratko Mladic following an anonymous tip, according to B92 radio station.

Mladic, now 68, is accused of masterminding the 44-month siege of Sarajevo that left 10,000 people dead in 1995 and the massacre in July of the same year of around 8,000 Muslim men and boys at Srebrenica.

There are rewards of up to $19 million for information leading to Mladic's arrest being offered by US and Serbian authorities.

Serbian police told B92 that the man arrested bears some resemblance to Mladic, and that DNA testing was not underway to confirm the man's identity.
